Oxford Brookes University has engaged Linked2Success a number of times to deliver social media training and on more than one occasion workshops have been delivered to local social entrepreneurs - businesses who are already social media savvy.
So, what did Linked2Success share with these entrepreneurs that they didn't already know? "It wasn't what they didn't know" said Jeff Willmore, Project Manager and Communications Coordinator for workforce development and social entrepreneurship at Oxford Brookes University, "it was more about the context in which social media was positioned by Steve and Linked2Success."
"Most of those attending the training understood the mechanics of platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook but left with a much greater appreciation for the business context in which each could be applied and the interrelationship between sites to create a joined up marketing strategy - this was social media with a purpose."
"As a direct result of the training received from Linked2Success, several of those business owners who attended explained how they had saved considerable sums of money and were doing things more cost effectively and time efficiently by changing their original social strategy - learning how to maximise their use of social media instead of investing money in expensive websites."
